Community Outreach

Our responsive community outreach programs are dedicated to addressing the most fundamental needs of our vulnerable neighbors, ensuring access to essential resources like food, medication, and transportation. Beyond these basic necessities, we provide critical services designed to promote long-term well-being and resilience, including proactive abuse prevention initiatives and specialized care tailored to the unique needs of the elderly.

Family Assistance & Community Support

Since 2008, we've supported families across Panama, providing essential aid like meals, medical care, housing repairs, and school supplies. We primarily serve the indigenous Ngobe-Bugle, who face systemic oppression and often live in temporary structures without basic amenities. Our goal is to empower these families to achieve independence and 'pay it forward' by supporting others in their community.

Sustainabilty

Our commitment to sustainability involves strengthening communities through sustainable farming practices, promoting economic growth via job creation, and building strategic partnerships to foster business development. We have our own farm that produces food for our orphanage and allows us to earn income through sales to the community, Our orphan care participants have opportunities to learn skills, trades and income through jewelry making, screen printing, and entrepreneural activities.

Critical Needs

We partner with community leaders and government agencies to address Panama's emergent and critical needs. Our collaborative efforts include human-trafficking education and prevention, providing resources for safe passage to indigenous areas (the Ember Bridge Project), delivering first-response aid such as emergency shelter and supplies to hospitals and communities, and serving on Panama's National Board of Child Protective Services to develop and strengthen laws that protect our children.
